We're hiring a Project Manager.

Employees at Embark talking at conference table.

Do you love getting things done?

Embark is a boutique agency looking for an awesome organizer to streamline our workflows, help our team scale, and make clients happy.

Our projects center around creative work within digital marketing, so the ideal candidate has a range of experience in marketing.

Expectations of the role.

Put simply, you’ll ensure projects get completed as expected and on-time. You’ll juggle project timelines with budget and scope. Your day-to-day will involve working closely with the internal directors, attending client meetings, following-up on tasks, managing due dates, and collecting deliverables from the production team and clients.

From start to finish, projects have a number of tasks that need to be sorted by service line (graphic design, website, content, etc.). Your daily job will be to properly categorize, assign, and follow-up on tasks.

A critical part of this role is clear, prompt, and frequent communication. To prevent delays, tasks falling through the cracks, and misunderstandings, excellent communication will be key to a successful project manager.

Keeping a birds eye view on projects across the board will be important to keep a pulse on where everything is at. We use Asana for task management, so monitoring this regularly is expected.

Constant improvement and adjustments to the work is universal to everyone here at Embark. As the Project Manager, we expect to see ongoing enhancements to our systems and processes.

Qualifications we're seeking.

We’re seeking someone with intermediate level of experience. You must have core skills and expertise in the following:

Project Management Expertise

It goes without saying you need to have a strong portfolio of managing projects. You must be able to stay on top of due dates, follow through with tasks, and coordinate lots of moving parts, especially in high-paced environments.

Digital Marketing

Knowledge and understanding of digital media and communications. You're on top of industry trends and comfortable managing a broad scope of work, from website development to email marketing campaigns.

Website Projects

Our website design and development process is thorough, so we need someone that has experience being part of big website projects. We'll train you in our comprehensive approach, but having an understanding of website fundamentals is essential.

Creative Background

Many of our projects revolve around creative services, therefore you must have experience either producing or managing creative work. This includes, but not limited to, graphic design, branding, copywriting, social media, ad campaigns, video production, and etc.

Compensation and benefits.

We’re based in Southern CA, but the position will be fully remote. As a small team, we operate with efficiency and flexibility. So we while we may not offer traditional corporate benefits, we focus on flexibility and work-life balance. Weekly hours and schedule are negotiable, along with PTO benefits.

For salary, we are expecting to offer in the $40,000 – $55,000 range, depending on experience. Ideally we are seeking a full-time position, but part-time seekers and contractors will be considered as well.
