Meet the Team: Christina

Hi! I’m Christina, and I’m the Marketing Manager here at Embark.

Day-to-day, I wear a few hats: writing copy, shaping campaign strategy, overseeing design direction, and diving into ad reports to make sure our work is connecting. I also support internal workflow –  jumping into brainstorms and collaborating across teams to keep strategy and execution aligned. I love working closely with our clients to understand their goals and translate them into thoughtful, mission-driven marketing. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly how I like it!

I am also from Florida, went to FSU (go noles!) and currently reside in NYC.

What motivates you?

My Meyers-Briggs type is ENFP, so I’m fueled by creativity, meaning, and connection. My faith has also been a critical part of my life and how I’ve found motivation. If I ever have a low motivation day, remembering the bigger purpose in what I do (big or small), helping others on their mission, puts it in perspective and gets me to give 100%!

Whether I’m building a brand, refining a message, or drafting a subject line that lands, I care about impact over noise. I want the work I do to be impactful, grow missions, and help people feel seen, elevating ideas that should be heard.

I also love exploring possibilities and growth – staying plugged into culture and tech helps me bring a fresh, modern lens to timeless truths. A good challenge also gets me going – when I’m faced with something difficult, I love to innovate to find the best solution for the problem, or educate myself so I can help others in the way that best suits them. I am people first, and I always want to make the most of my gifts and time and strive to genuinely love and help others in every facet of life.

What intrigues you about digital marketing?

Digital marketing has always fascinated me – probably because I grew up in the ’90s, right as the internet was becoming part of everyday life. The landscape is constantly evolving, which means I am always growing and learning alongside it. I’ve always loved how tech feels limitless – with instant access to so much information, you can create content that informs, inspires, or simply connects with someone in the right moment, even if it’s just through a meme.

I’m drawn to the strategy and nuance behind it – how a single tweak in copy or creative can shift everything. It allows for real-time feedback and wide-reaching impact. And in a marketing context, that’s powerful. It gives us the chance to meet people where they are and invite them into something that could uniquely help them – being able to target specific demographics and behaviors. I also love how interactive it is, people able to give feedback by commenting, sharing, etc. I’m never bored and always using both the left and right side of my brain!

Why work for a small agency like Embark?

Because here, nothing is one-size-fits-all and is personal in the best way. At Embark, we value real relationships – with each other and with our clients. You feel invested in, and you get to invest in the work, the clients, and the mission in a deeper way. I love being part of a team that takes the time to listen, collaborate, and tailor everything we do with intention.

Working at a small agency means I get to be hands-on and involved in every part of the creative process. And I’m not just completing tasks, I’m helping clients bring their mission to life in a way that’s aligned, personal, and understood. The impact feels real. It’s not just about delivering assets, it’s about partnering with our clients to build something that actually moves the needle.

What do you do in your free time?

Outside of work, I’m usually with friends, helping the young adult ministry at our church, or bouncing around New York City. There’s always something to do here, whether it’s a concert, a museum date, a ballet class, or spontaneous karaoke night. I especially love a good dinner party or catching up with friends via walk in the park — quality time is everything to me.

If you don’t find me out and about, I’m at home playing Animal Crossing, creating Pinterest boards for every life event, or going down a rabbit holes on ChatGPT and Youtube. I am also chronically on FaceTime.

Favorite movie or TV show?

I have way too many. Kiki’s Delivery Service has my whole heart: it’s cozy, magical, and captures that bittersweet feeling of growing up and finding your place in the world. The Grand Budapest Hotel is another favorite — the visuals, the humor, the hidden depth… it’s just brilliant.

I am also going through a major Lord of the Rings phase (I know, a bit late to the game). I get the hype! On the lighter side: Mamma Mia is my go-to for joy, Gilmore Girls and Gossip Girl scratch my cozy/Uptown aesthetic itch.

Favorite book?

Pride and Prejudice because let’s be honest, Mr. Darcy is forever. But I also have a soft spot for books that feed the soul. Searching for and Maintaining Peace, Abandonment to Divine Providence, and Man’s Search for Meaning are ones I return to often. I recently went through The Artist’s Way too, such a good blend of creativity and inner work. The Little Prince may top the list though – whimsy with wisdom is my sweet spot.

People or figures that inspire you?

Mother Cabrini – absolute NYC legend. Independent, fearless, didn’t take no for an answer. She is iconic. St. John Paul II, C.S. Lewis, and Brené Brown have also shaped so much of how I think about love and life. Bob Ross and Mr. Rogers for their playful, wholesome message and impact. All my friends for the same reasons, it’s the killer combo of humor + holiness!
